Career Profile

I am a researcher with passion for tackling problems at the intersection of AI and neuroscience. Currently, I am focussing on depression models in rodents, extending computer vision tools from the lab to distinguish between control and diseased conditions. I leverage my background in cellular communication, and software engineering to approach the neurobiology of depression and form an understanding of its aspects that impact affect.

ClinicalIE (Hackathon Project) - Made a GPT-4 based RAG for metadata prediction from tabular biomedical data
Automation of DB Home Operations - Automated database operations, like opening, closing, etc. of multiple databases in a Oracle DB home
Blind Source Separation on Images - Implementation of “Signal separation from X-ray image sequence using singular value decomposition” by Chunyu Yu, Jingya ng Sun (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bspc.2018.01.012)..
FPGA Implementation of Neural Networks - Designed a feedforward perceptron model using Verilog HDL for Xilinx ISE 14.7 with two hidden layers, and implemented and verified it on Spartan-3E FPGA kit on a custom dataset
Intruder Detection system for Crop Fields - A Convolutional Neural Network was trained on images in an augmented dataset to detect cattle against a crop field background, with empty crop fields as control dataset.
Review Sentiment Analysis - Carried out smartphone feature specific sentiment analysis using VADER, along with visualization as part of RevLib.
VideoToonification - A python script to convert a video into a cartoon version
