Career Profile
I am a researcher with passion for tackling problems at the intersection of AI and neuroscience. Currently, I am focussing on depression models in rodents, extending computer vision tools from the lab to distinguish between control and diseased conditions. I leverage my background in cellular communication, and software engineering to approach the neurobiology of depression and form an understanding of its aspects that impact affect.
Experiences
Work on improvizing an aid for behavioral modelling in rodents using accurate 3D pose estimation via in-house developed software, DANNCE.
- Finetuend DANNCE for a novel (patented) behavioral arena (in collaboration with Tadross Lab)
- Developed Unsupervised metrics for estimating goodness of tracking
- Set-up a 6-camera large open-field rig with miniscope based Ca-imaging
Maintain and automate processes as part of Database High Availability team of Oracle Enterprise Manager. Experienced working on Oracle Data Guard related offerings as well as Oracle Fusion Middleware offerings in Oracle Enterprise Manager in a diverse team.
- Enhancing and Maintaining multiple Standby and Clone Creation Wizards
- Enhancing and Maintaining Service Level Management (ASLM) area
- Actively working with customer requirements
During my tenure at the lab, I developed an understanding of EEG Inference applied to Epileptic Seizure Detection and Emotion Classifiation, and worked towards generating research insights in the domain.
Presented and demonstrated a database schema to solve entry-mismatches in the progress trackers for Project Junoon.
